Nakheel did the master planning for the Jumeirah Lakes Tower (JLT)
project, which is fully-owned and managed by the Dubai Multi
Commodities Centre Authority (DMCCA).
A few months ago, decisions were taken to merge all the property arms
that fell under Dubai World. Hence the project was transferred from
Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) to Nakheel.
Thirty-five
towers have received the building completion certificates so far. The
figure is expected to go up to 50 by end-2009 and 70 by end of 2010.
"About
another 10 buildings or so will be complete by 2011 or maybe early
2012," said Ahmed bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC.
Here's a photo spread by Emirates Business on the progress on JLT construction.
